The Workshop
The tittle of the workshop is: The Behavioral Detective, Evidence and Art. It
was conducted in theUniversity of Indonesia Campus in January 3-4, 2015. One of
the topic that we’ve learn in this workshop is about this question: Is it
Sensory or is it Behavior?
Kim explained: both psychological processes and sensory processing are
neurobioological. It’s all the same bucket of chemicals in the brain.
Sensory
issues (Sensory over responsivity; Sensory Avoidant; Sensory Under-Responsive;
Sensory Seeking; Sensory Defesive) influence the behavior. Each sensory issues has different
characteristic. So we have to be a Behavioral Detective that can understand
which of sensory issues that the child had, and find the right Sensory
Processing Intervention.
